About the event
Resonant Bodies is a performance of music by John Luther Adams, American composer described as “one of the most original musical thinkers of the new century” by Alex Ross.
An hour long piece for live percussion and electronics, The Mathematics of Resonant Bodies, is set as an installation with light design and projection, where audience can move freely, and experience Adams’ music, as well as his writings and thoughts. John Luther Adams invites to slow down, pay attention, and remember our place within the larger community of life on earth. Project Resonant Bodies wishes to enforce exactly that: slow down, listen, observe, pay attention and come out slightly changed or more aware of what one can do for the better of us all. In Adams’ words: “If we can imagine a culture and a society in which we each feel more deeply responsible for our own place in the world, then we just may be able to bring that culture and that society into being.”
