Nomad program at Big Bang Athens Festival 2023

This year’s Nomad workshop is a journey of unexpected sounds treated with rhythm, curiosity, melodies, laughter, and electronic sparkles! We learn to engage with the sound using our body, voice, microphones, electronic devices and we create music together!

Everyday we hear, sometimes we listen. There are sounds everywhere around us! What can we do with them? How can we make them into music? Everyday we breathe and we move! Can this be music as well? We laugh and we play! How can this be music too? We make everyday objects into musical instruments. We notice that everything can be music if we give it a chance and challenge.

Guided by one composer, two musicians and a sound engineer, children will learn how to treat the sound from different angles, as well as using technology for music creation. All together made into composition to perform and share the joy of music making! An experience that hopefully changes the perspective what we call music and how do we listen!
